1cupcranberry sauce (preferably homemade or low sugar)
1/4cuppure maple syrup
1tablespoonsoy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
to tasteFresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey or chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the maple cranberry glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the cranberry sauce, maple syrup, and soy sauce. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until warmed and slightly thickened.
Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and immediately drizzle the maple cranberry sauce over them. Toss gently to coat the meatballs evenly.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for an added touch of color and flavor.
Notes
Use homemade or low sugar cranberry sauce for a healthier option.
